If you are a vegan, you probably will not want to in principle. (Continued from leather outside dead cows.) That said, if you buy something used, you are not contributing to support the industry or (someone already did … the original retailer is not getting a penny of the money to repurchase). I would say this is something that has to answer for himself. You're not directly supporting the industry when you buy used, but is still benefiting it. You may also consider the message that some people can get your purchase: who care more for fashion than animals. I do not think necessarily this is true, but most people do not know that your shoes are vintage / second hand, etc. Think about why you're vegan and you have your answer.
